Habitual Failures, Incompetents and Losers

A word to the wise; if you would have a happy, productive life be careful not to do the following. If you already have these habits in your bag of tricks, I feel sorry for you. Your life is miserable and you seldom do anything worth while. You do on the other hand have a chance to change your behavior and by doing so, your life will improve immeasurably.

1.) Incompetent people say and do negative things! They see problems in everything and it is never they're fault. Opportunity always has too many problems than the effort is worth. On a bright sunny day they say, "It's too hot." The rain always ruins their plans to go out. The wind ruins their hair.

Everybody is against them and they can never find a solution to what ever problem is at hand. A sliver is a log and they are going to die from that paper cut. Any time they suffer the setback of failure no matter how miniscule, it is cause to quit trying all together.

2.) Losers are always acting before they think! It never fails that when an idea pops into the mind of a loser, they are going to act on it without any reflection what so ever. They are also always getting into trouble be cause of this tendency. Even worse, when trouble descends on them they are simply not to blame, someone should have warned them and even though no one was around to do this, it is not the losers fault.

What ever you do, do not ever put money in these people's hands. They have no concept of the future and that they should keep in mind the inevitability of its coming. Pleasure is the only thing they are after and they will pursue this pleasure without regard to anything else, even the harm that the pleasure is going to cause.

3.) Two Character traits that incompetents are recognized by. They Talk Too Much and They Don't Listen Enough. Incompetent people need to be the center of attention, the star of the show, all the time. The stories always put them in the roll of the hero or the savior. Even when their story stops making sense, they don't have the ability to recognize this and will go on expanding on their heroic adventure.

If you make the mistake of informing these people that they have quit making sense, you will suddenly find yourself on the receiving end of their anger and a tongue lashing that I am quite sure is unhealthy for you at the very least.

4.) Losers and Incompetents are also Quitters. Successful people understand that there is no such thing as failure. (T. A. Edison is said to have tried 10,000 different things as a filament for the electric light bulb. When asked how he dealt with all of those failures he said, "those weren't failures, I found 9,999 things that didn't work in my light bulb!) An incompetent will quit at the first blush of failure.

When an incompetent begins a project they are always filled with enthusiasm. Often more than is warranted. Once the work begins in earnest though, they will lose interest, especially when it begins to get even a little complicated. If they encounter a complication they can't figure out immediately, rather than finding help or asking questions their first impulse is the one they act on. To quit. These folks are the sorriest part of our society because they will never fulfill their dreams and you and I are to blame.

5.) They will pull you down with them if they can. This is where incompetents become dangerous. These pathetic people have the worst case of envy that you are likely to encounter. Rather than working to find out what others are doing differently to achieve their success, rather than asking questions, incompetents and losers will work over time to sabotage the successful people.

Your interests will be best served by simply staying as far from these folks as possible. Their pride is going to get in their way and their envy is going to become a problem for you.

6.) Incompetents and Losers don't know what to do next. They are quite happy sitting in front of the idiot lantern, eating, drinking or smoking dope. Sometimes you can find them staring at a blank wall, with no thoughts between their ears.

To be honest, sometimes I enjoy sitting and letting my mind go totally blank for a few moments. It's a breather for me and it gives my brain a chance to rest. Incompetents and losers get stuck in doing this sometimes and can't find a way out.

7.) You Take the High Road, and losers and incompetents take the low road. Given the option, incompetents and losers are going to take what they perceive to be the safest road. It's nice and wide and there is little chance of getting hurt. What they don't seem to understand is that the wide road is bereft of reward and that it is only by taking a chance do we grow in this life.

They don't want to suffer though and so they are willing to forgo the hardship. They want the good life though they aren’t willing to work for it. This makes them dangerous in another way. These pathetic beings will steal your good life given the opportunity.

If they were willing to work a little harder or a little longer; if they were willing to put up with suffering and forgo "easy" for just a short while they would realize that those are the requirements of success and the good life.

Successful people know that the road to the good life is fraught with difficulties and with failure and error. They refuse to quit though, they have that never say die attitude that invariably leads to THE GOOD LIFE.
